Paula's Life and Training

Paula grew up drawing and painting from an early age, continuing on through school studying all of the various art mediums. But it was when she began china painting in 1973 with Betty Poellet, a well respected teacher in Michigan, that she knew she enjoyed this medium the best.

When Betty retired to Florida several years later, Paula began teaching other students
while raising a family. Her interest in painting as a hobby ended up becoming her career. This business career now consists of having written and published 7 books, 9 videos, Paula's own line of brushes and paints, plus numerous studies. She is a member of the International Porcelain Artists & Teachers, the World Organization of China Painters, the Professional Porcelain Artists Association, and the Porcelain Painters International Online as well as a faculty member of many US porcelain painting schools.

Known primarily for florals and fruits, she has attended conventions and taught seminars throughout the United States as well as Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Holland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and Thailand. When not traveling, she conducts seminars at her studio/bed & breakfast combination that students and friends from around the US and world travel to attend. She teaches a local class of students that she especially enjoys in between the other seminars.

She is very grateful and feels the Lord has blessed her with many friends that she has made and wonderful opportunities that she has experienced because of her porcelain art.
